LC - BOTSWANA (JULY '24)

In a busy world, we all (especially men) long for some “EREMOS”, which is the Greek word for solitude/wilderness/stillness. To get away from daily routine, smart phone, laptop, traffic, and time… A place where your soul can catch up with your body.

Botswana Leadership Challenge promises just that. Join this memorable trip into the wild and experience nature, ‘eremos’, personal development talks, friends and sunsets where the ROAR of a Lion makes for great background music!

Day 1.

02:00 – We drive together from Pretoria to Bray Border Crossing (6-hour drive). From there it’s about 30min Drive to our Starting point. Cornwall Safari Lodge. This can be done with a ‘High Rider’ 2 x 4 vehicle. This is where your vehicle will (safely) stay for our trip. We will travel with alternative transport and by foot for the rest of our stay.

Our trip leads us to Harry’s pan for our first overnight.

Day 2.

This day is dedicated to hiking, the bush and wild animals. We will make our way through the bush, stopping at various places of interest. Our second night is spent at another saltpan in the Kalahari.

Day 3.

Somewhere in the Red sand under a thorn tree, our transport awaits to take us back to the Lodge for our last night in Botswana. ‘Braaivleis’, cold beverages, fire and lots of stories will accommodate us as we get ready for a nice cozy, comfy sleep.

Day 4.

After some activities, breakfast, and a last bit of bush, we head back home. ETA in Pretoria will be early evening.

What to Pack:

Sleep:

· 2 man dome tent

· Inflatable mattress

· Sleeping bag and travel pillow (prepare for 0 to -3 degrees)

Hike:

Your tent, sleeping stuff and duffle bag (provided to you before trip) will be transported for you.

· 30L day bag (backpack)

· 5L water capacity (bottle’s, bladders)

· Boots and slops

· Socks/trousers/shirt/Hat/buff

· Headlight with extra batteries

· Warm Jacket

· Fleece Jacket

· Small Bible

· Own Medication

· Bug spray

· Sunblock

· Pocket knife

Travel:

· If your car is crossing the border: NATIS or Copy from bank papers.

· Valid Passport
